Behestan Behdasht: Brief Company Profile

Behestan Behdasht was created to focus completely on the consumer healthcare market in Iran. Consumer Healthcare includes, but is not limited to:
  • Herbal Products
  • Cosmetics
  • Vitamins/Food Supplements
  • Hygiene
  • Dental
  • Over-the-Counter (OTC) products
  • Hospital Care
As a local partner, we offer several services to a multinational organization. You will find a brief description under the headings below:
Regulatory Affairs: Our regulatory department coordinates with the local health authorities to register for importation and distribution our partner’s products. This department also coordinates with the regulatory department of our partner to accurately communicate our country’s requirements, as well as to problem solve when and if they occur.
Commercial Department: Our commercial department forecasts demand (typically we submit yearly and quarterly forecasts to our partners), handles ordering and shipping details, logistics, customs clearance, sales statistics and safety stock supplies. It is their job to sort, filter and communicate the daily information gathered from the market.
Business Development: Business Development is responsible for the over all communication of emerging trends, opportunities, threats and market indicators. They are typically the contact source for our international partners.
Marketing: Based upon our partners needs, we either host their marketing team, or for some promote their products utilizing our own teams. Many multinational organizations have a fine training system and are interested in implementing their know-how in the Iranian market. We provide a base for their marketing team, from the physical office space and supplies (computers, faxes, printers, secretary, etc.) to human resource services and day to day supervision.

    Behestan Behdasht Added Value

  • Strong Financial Resources Due to the importation of the Behestan Group, we have extended credit lines and capital reserves sufficient for current and future sales. However, the ability to purchase products is only one of several relevant financial factors. Behestan Behdasht also has the resources to invest in potential products which need aggressive campaigns.

  • Pharmacy Network Owing to our strong presence in both the pharma and consumer healthcare market, the Behestan Group enjoys a unique position in the pharmacy market. We have established close ties with market leading pharmacies. The Behestan Group is also the only organization which meets with major pharmacies and pharmacy owners on an annual basis to discuss emerging market trends, problem areas in the market, and consumer behavior.

  • Importers Association The Behestan Group is a founding member, and currently holds the chairperson position, of the Iranian Pharmaceutical Products Importers association. This association was founded to share best practices amongst distributors, as well as to force positive change within the market and MOH.

  • Experience The range of products imported and distributed by the Behestan Group is quite vast, thus leaving no portion of the market unavailable to our marketing and sales teams. Thus, launching new products needs little “exploratory” or “relationship building” investment as this has been accomplished years ago.

  • In House Resources While we sometimes outsource activities, we have a complete range of in house resources to handle both strategic and tactical business activities. From our IT and Graphical Department, to our HR and Product Development departments, we have the ability to initiate and complete all activities without relying on third parties. This gives us greater control on costs and quality of finished products, as well as enabling us to be pro-active in market activities and maintain a certain flexibility not normally enjoyed by other organizations.

  • Trust While it is easy to create documents like this one, it is quite difficult for the reader to trust what is written.
